About K.Larm & J.Raninen project
It was year 2001 when K.Larm & J.Raninen project started in Finnish town called Jyväskylä located in the heart of middle-Finland.

Project was born some year or so after K.Larm and J.Raninen had met almost by accident while K.Larm was releasing his new music.

Pretty soon after meeting, both men started to spend quite a lot of time in J.Raninen's and T.Kesäniemi's studios. In early stages T.Kesäniemi (from Healium -project) was jamming along and helping the guys while in studio session.

All early stage studio sessions were based on improvisation and the purpose was just to spend some quality time with friends and the beloved TB-303's.

Idea of starting this collaboration was built up pretty soon after these improvisation based studio sessions. At first the project was more like just spending time and composing music as two guys who both had a bit different style to compose electronic, acid and techno music.

After releasing the first four tracks as "Acidcode Project", Larm & Raninen kept some well-deserved time off. Few months went by and then was time to think what should be done next. Raw but true, spoken topic contained just two options; either to bury the project or go to the next level. As you might already guess, Larm & Raninen decided to shift up to the next gear.

Since few other projects using the same ”Acidcode Project” name was found to exist, decision was made to change the name to a shorter "ACP". However this shortened name did not feel good, so it was finally changed to "K.Larm & J.Raninen" in the late of 2007.

It's admitted, that nowadays K.Larm & J.Raninen is much more serious project than in the early days. Main goal is still the same; to compose rather quality than average tracks. Both members also remind that one of the main things is still to combine the fun aspect and love to the TB-303's sound. ”If it's not fun anymore, it's over!”.

Kaj Larm and Jouni Raninen have both been making music in studio and live several years.

Kaj "Cassu" Larm has been composing electronic music since 1990. It all started in 1988 with the legendary Commodore 64 (which is still used by him), but later on Amiga 500 came along with those neat trackers... Nowadays Amiga has been changed to real synth gear. However, Amiga is still resting in the closet...
K.Larm is and has been a part of several different music projects. Some live gigs is being performed every now and then.

Jouni Raninen has been composing electronic music for long long time. J.Raninen is also the other half of the project called "Healium". Healium is a long perioid Finnish Acid act, and its material has been released through SKELETOR RECORDS (Finland) and DJAX-UP-BEATS (Netherlands).
J.Raninen is and has been a part of several different music projects. Some DJ- and live gigs is being performed every now and then.

K.Larm & J.Raninen project is signed to Communiqué Records, USA.
